cardio-sports fanatics

Cardio-Sports-A term I use for sports that have a relatively heavy cardio emphasis include (but are not limited to): running, dance, soccer, and tennis. The running component to these sports creates typical patterns of injury. My experience with treating (and personally experiencing) these injuries makes me very competent in helping you with tendinitis, sprains & strains (2 separate but joined injuries), runners knee, IT-Band Syndrome, and chronic compensation pattern injuries to the gluts, piriformis and sciatic nerve.

How you benefit from seeing me:

  1. I’ve had muscle-joint specific training so your diagnosis comes from the same tests an orthopedic M.D. does without the cost and hassle of a referral. If, however, your injury is serious enough to warrant a second opinion by an orthopedic surgeon, I am capable of that referral.
  2. My combination therapy is similar to cross-training in that your body performs better (healing in this case) because the types of treatment vary and are aimed at healing all the components involved: the joint, muscle, tendon, ligament AND fascia.
  3. Strategic plan and excellent referral system if expectations for healing rate are not being met.
  4. My referral team and I not only play well with other therapists, we ENCOURAGE the mixed use of our therapy style with other clinics and therapists. Whatever gets you better faster is great!
  5. A get-you-back to your sport asap policy. Although a very brief stint of time off your sport may be required, we will encourage you to get back into your activities during therapy so the body will heal with the full range of motion and capabilities that you need.
